Martin Tairo Maseghe says his profession of Architecture is being soiled by being figuratively associated with some negative things that have happened in the country in the past. “The continued use of the word ‘architect’ while referring to the mega swindles is annoying. Talk of ‘the Goldenberg architect’, ‘Anglo Leasing architect’, ‘maize scandal architect’ and others is common today. While the term may loosely mean someone who creates something, it should be made clear that our noble profession does not involve looting or carrying out other economic crimes.”
