  1. Dude, this is outstanding…is 3DS Max the best program? I’m trying to specialize and so far I’ve experimented with Revit and Artlantis. Kindly advise.

    • Guru very great work,…have you tried maya?(i think it has simpler tools and may save time)…..if you have any have any experience with revit which has a good rendering capabilities, to save time you can export a revit model in 3dmax in fbx format and in terms of architectural rendering it will save time keep pushing the envelop.check out the links below.

      • Hi, Alex

Thanks for the comments. I am aware of Maya, although I consciously chose 3dsmax due to some other features not found in Maya. I prefer the UI that Archicad uses; through years of taking models from archicad to 3dsMax, I have found the transfer more efficient than using FBX. For instance I once designed, modelled and rendered an image within 1hr for a conceptual image. It is not about the software you use, but rather how you use it.

  2. Thanks for the comments, well honestly it depends on your workflow. If you are in an environment tight for time I would advise against using 3DS Max. I have seen some pretty good renders using Artlantis and it has the advantage of easy interoperability between Archicad. If you note, the images are mostly done for architects and developers on a freelance basis, so I usually have ample time to complete them. Really comes down to your schedule.
