The government of Kenya through the Ministry of Environment, Water and Natural Resources has reviewed the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) fees for all construction projects with effect from 17th September 2013.

GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 13211, THE ENVIRONMENTAL (IMPACT ASSESSMENT AND AUDIT) REGULATIONS, 2003, REVIEW OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (EIA) FEES
PURSUANT to regulation 48 of the Environmental (Impact Assessment and Audit) Regulations, 2003, as read with paragraph 4 of the fifth schedule thereof. It is notified to the public that the Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Water and Natural Resources has reviewed the Environmental Impact Assessment fees payable as follows:
0.1% of the total cost of the project to a minimum of KSh.10,000 with no upper capping.
